2015年8月7日，Worcester Polytechnic Institute商學院的Joe Zhu教授應邀至管理與經濟學院進行學術訪問并作了題為“Data Envelopment Analysis: New Perspective”的學術報告，為學院師生介紹其學術經驗和成果。本次報告由王科副教授主持，學院眾多師生參加了本次報告會，并對Joe Zhu教授的到來表示熱烈歡迎。
報告首先簡單介紹了DEA方法的基礎知識，并引入了新的見解；隨后介紹了DEA發(fā)展過程中最基本的三個模型，闡述了它們的意義以及相關模型算法的演變過程；其次以造船廠和器官移植兩個實際的例子詳細的講解了DEA模型如何在實際生產生活中進行應用；最后比較了DEA與傳統(tǒng)統(tǒng)計方法的不同，并在DEA方法現有的研究基礎上提出了創(chuàng)新性引導，使在場師生深受啟發(fā)。匯報結束后，在場師生就報告中所涉及的研究方法等問題展開深入的交流和熱烈的討論。
主講人簡介：
Professor Zhu is an expert in methods of performance evaluation and benchmarking, and his research interests are in the areas of operations and productivity, and performance evaluation and benchmarking, and the method of data envelopment analysis (DEA). He was recently been awarded a Chang Jiang Scholar Chair Professorship. The author of more than 120 journal articles, books, and textbooks, and with more than 10,000 Google Scholar citations, his research interests include operations and business analytics, productivity modeling, and performance evaluation. Professor Zhu has published in top journals such as Operations Research, Management Science, Sloan Management Review, European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Operational Research Society, IIE Transactions, OMEGA, and others. He is a co-editor of the Handbook on Data Envelopment Analysis (1st and 2nd editions), published by Springer. Professor Zhu has published and co-edited seven books on performance evaluation and benchmarking using data envelopment analysis (DEA).
