內(nèi)容介紹:

China is the world’s largest electricity producer (25% of global production) and the largest producer of non-hydro renewable energy (17% of global production) and mines over 3.5 billion tons of coal a year (46% of global production). China’s coal based electricity sector alone produces 9% of global carbon dioxide equivalent emissions, and around half of China’s domestic emissions. Under the current Five Year Plan China’s electricity sector is undergoing a major transition from a state managed system to a market price based one.

The aim of this research project is to understand the nature of the electricity transition process in China and how it can draw on the extensive reform experience of European countries.
