主講人簡(jiǎn)介：
馬春波博士任教于西澳大利亞大學(xué)農(nóng)業(yè)及自然資源經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院 (2009至今)。美國(guó)倫斯勒理工學(xué)院（Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute）經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)博士（2007）。2007-2009年美國(guó)密歇根大學(xué)(University of Michigan)從事博士后工作，重點(diǎn)研究中國(guó)電力市場(chǎng)以及中國(guó)能源經(jīng)濟(jì)。2009年加入西澳大利亞大學(xué)。在澳大利亞獲資助主持政府及企業(yè)多項(xiàng)學(xué)術(shù)研究項(xiàng)目，包括澳洲自然科學(xué)基金(Australian Research Council)的發(fā)現(xiàn)基金(Discovery Project)。2012年獲得澳洲ARC DECRA Fellow致力于研究澳洲太陽能發(fā)電市場(chǎng)。2013年成為全澳洲六個(gè)青年學(xué)者之一獲得澳洲科技工程學(xué)院(Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering)授予的低碳煤科技Fellowship，從事低碳能源相關(guān)研究。目前主要研究方向新能源市場(chǎng)及政策分析，中澳電力市場(chǎng)及政策分析，環(huán)保消費(fèi)行為分析，非市場(chǎng)評(píng)估，以及中國(guó)能源經(jīng)濟(jì)。
內(nèi)容簡(jiǎn)介：
Solid fuels (coal and fuelwood) are still widely used by over 400 million people in rural China, which brings severe health, local as well as global environmental consequences. However, there is substantial spatial and temporal heterogeneity in residential fuel choices and energy transition towards higher quality fuels across the different regions in rural China. In this study, we analyse residential fuel choice in rural China using a large 8-year panel of over 20,000 households collected by China’s Ministry of Agriculture. Access to energy supply is found to be critical for rural households to transit towards higher quality commercial fuels. There is a significant non-linear income effect in residential energy transition. Our evidence is consistent with Auffhammer and Wolfram (2014), who suggests that income and ownership of household appliances in China also follows a non-linear relationship. We also found a significant trend of transition from coal to gas fuels, but not from fuelwood to higher quality fuels.
