Recently, the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission formally acknowledged the "Energy economy and environmental management key laboratory in Beijing." The laboratory is based on Beijing Institute of Technology School of Management and Economics, Beijing Institute of Technology Energy and Environmental Policy Research Center, and is the one of the first five selected units of Bejing newly established "New Think Tank Field". The Laboratory Director is Beijing University of Technology, "Changjiang Scholar" Distinguished Professor, "National Outstanding Youth Fund" winner Professor Wei Yiming.
