August 21 to 27, 2015, The 8th Urban and Regional Sustainable Management Under Disaster and Environmental Risks Sino-Japan Joint Workshop was successfully held in Japan. The seminar was jointly organized by Kyoto University Disaster Prevention Research Institute and Beijing Institute of Technology School of Management and Economics, and hosted by Kumamoto University Disaster Prevention Research Center, Japan. More than 60 students and teachers from Kyoto University, Kumamoto University, Japan Kwansei Gakuin University, Tohoku University, China Beijing Institute of Technology, Tsinghua University, Hunan University, Jiangsu University, Sichuan Normal University attended the meeting.
